I can't believe how much prices have increased on all rare items. About a year ago, I bought a miniature ghostly hero for 100K+1000 ecto. Recently I saw a thread on GuildWarsGuru with a bid on a mini ghost for 2100 ecto. Prices on everything from miniature kuunuvang, req 7/8 weapons, and unconditional weapons have all skyrocketed. I wonder what's been behind this strange phenomenon?

People become more interest in accumulating high end items once they've gotten a lot of playing of the game under their belts. Supply of gold stays high because people's interest turns to farming and powertrading to accumulate items. Supply of high end items decreases in many cases because people aren't doing the necessary activities to acquire them in many cases. In the most extreme case, some items such as Kuuna, are of a finite supply and disappear from the game when players dedicate them then stop playing.
